Punk Goes Soft

The evolution of fashion will never cease to amaze. This past year we've watched the late 80's-early 90's punk passion come slowly back into full swing. The Breakfast club's tough and [secretly] tender flare hit the girls' wardrobes hard. Sending elegance, chic, and sophistication out the window. However, it must have been a boomerang because feminism is getting flung into the punk wear this fall season!

The signature elements of the punk scene are undergoing an extreme makeover. The all black color blocking is getting pops of bright golds and silvers, washes of white and ivory are being weaved in and out of detailing, leather mini skirts are being paired with turtle neck knits, spikes and chains are being braided into statement pieces, and thigh high boots are being lowered into petite ankle boots with a sexy heel. Hair is even getting washed and pulled out of the face with soft braids and pony tails! While the piercings are turned down to a minimal appearance. It is the punk scene that was meant for woman.
